[Test-Equipment] HP-8616a problems

After some nasty snapping the smoke appears to have leaked out of the 390
ohm resistors in the cathode circuits of the 7233 regulators.  Also the
Series pass transistor for the klystron filament is shorted and the 2.0 ohm
pot for the 6.1 volt filament adjustment has melted down.

And, of course, the unit blows the F1 (1.5 amp AC  fuse).

1)  Anybody seen this before, what have you seen break down?

2)  What is the replacement for Q1?  The HP PN, 1852-0252,  does not show in
the various online cross references.

3)  What is the significance of EC 128-915 which seems to modify the
klystron filament circuit?
