You may not have to make a rear panel connection at all. I have a 8444A unit
that was originally front-panel connected to my 8445B RF deck with some type of
double-shielded RG-59 type cable. I moved the TG to my 8555A deck and mad up a
cable for rear panel connection for the Second LO. I still connect First LO &
Scan via the front panel. It works perfectly!
The rear-panel connector is convenient but not essential in this setup as its
output is in parallel with the front panel BNC.
You need someone to verify which inputs & frequencies are actually required.
