Thanks to all who answered to my request.
I could find out that the connectors on the various cables are from Amphenol 
and sold by e.g. http://www.alliedelec.com   wich represents the British RS 
company that distributes to over 160 countries worldwide.

No further info for the blue ribbon connectors. They don't show any useable 
marks or codes as the mentioned HP's one. 

In the meanwhile I've acquired more plugins of the series (HP8555A and 
HP8552B) but this doesn't switches off my interest in repairing the broken 
units (they are anyway an investment!).
