Hello my friends,

Well, I know this message subject may sound strange... but I would like
your opinion about a possible job change (of course, Test Equipment related
:-) )

I am a Telecommunication Engineer since 1994. Currently (and for last 13
years), I work basically developing microcontroller access control systems,
programming them (C, assembler) and also interfacing with them from Windows
(Delphi). So, my contact with test equipment at work is basically an
oscilloscope and multimeter to debug new circuits and software.

Well, there is a large project here at work to build a semi-anechoic
chamber, for EMC testing purposes. In fact, external walls are already
made. Person who was going to manage it decided to change work a couple
weeks ago. So there is a gap there... Project includes buying all kind of
test equipment for the chamber :-). This is the good thing... Bad one is
that the work includes also lots of paperwork (compliance declarations) and
also anwering queries from other Departments about EMC and CE marking. But
not all could be Test Equipment Heaven ;-)!

So it would be an important change in my activity. I think it would be a
good addition to my Curriculum and also that 13 years doing very similar
work is perhaps too much (this is the reason I play at home with radio,
test equipment, car and motorcycle mechanics and such... although I plan to
continue same way)

What do you think?. Is there some List member who works on a similar job?.
Any advice?

Please, let me know your comments ASAP, as I should decide in a couple days
what to do.

Thanks and best regards,

JOSE
