[Test-Equipment] OSCILLOSCOPE problems

I have been trying to find a oscilloscope for my 10 year old son. I did fi=
nd a Non-
Linear Systems NLS MS-15 Miniscope. I had the scope shipped and they put 
it in a cardboard box with out any packing. The CRT is now broken.
Looking for  advice / CRT?:
I do not have a manual or any information, I do not know at this point eve=
n if 
the scope works or ever did. 
Any way of checking with out a crt in the scope? With out knowing pin out'=
s 
of the crt?
