Just in case anybody was thinking that I am ignoring them.  I would like to
thank all those on the list who have responded to my enquiry regarding a
replacement TD for my TEK 284.  The response was overwhelming.  So much so,
that it is going to take some time to follow all the leads.  Suggestions
included possible sources of supply, alternative possible causes of my
problems and even a very welcome impromptu tutorial on TD's.  I am now
reasonably convinced that there is [also] a problem with the assembly in
which the TD is fitted and I have located a replacement assembly with a good
TD.  I will "report" to the list when I have finally sorted out the problem,
which could be a few weeks yet.

The numbers of daily infections are slowly going down, so we are breathing a
little easier, but we are still subject to self imposed house arrest.
