[Test-Equipment] Anyone build Doug DeMaw's Xtal Tester (QST Jan '90)?

I'm getting ready to build the crystal tester described in Doug DeMaw's QST
article from January 1990 and have a resistor value question.  Resistor R24
has no value associated with it in the diagram or in the article text.

Anyone built this unit and perhaps have the value for R24?  I did e-mail a
note to the tech department at ARRL but as Al AA1DO the tech coordinator
unfortunately just passed away it may be some time before I get a reply.
