John,
I have several 141T's here. For the 8554B, with a Rx bandwidth of 1khz &
input attenuator at 0db, -98 dbm is easily seen above the noise.
Of course, any desired improvement can be obtained with external broadband
amps using MMICs as block gain devices. I have constructed a very simple
amp using 2 MAR6 devices which allows me to look at -115dmb sigs up to
1.5ghz.
