All the parts to make these can be had from various sources, with
varying cost and degrees of difficulty. The worst I found was the
RF/IF cable to separate the two. Each end cost $30 something plus from
Allied, for the shell alone. Coax inserts are cheapest from Mouser.
Very well made commercial clones are available from George Kerber (sp?)
who's address has disappeared into the black hole of one of my computer
meltdowns.... Someone will know his url, I'm sure.
Isn't google wonderful... www.glkinst.com/cables/hp_cables.htm has the
details.
Without these it is pretty well impossible to align the RF and IF units
sompletely, many of the adjustments are on the inside of the RF/IF
sandwich,
