Hi Arthur:
I have an 8640A also, though I have not spent much time with it. I have a
op/svc manual for the 8640A, for serial prefix 1602A and 1624U, with change
addenda for serials up to 2428A prefix. My unit is a bit earlier, with a
1550A prefix.
Let me know if I can look something up or copy a section for you.
ps: I'd also be interested in that US Army Electronic Publication database
address, if you run across it.
