I have a simple solution for the round-pin power cord problem: I yank
the offending jack/plug and smash it with a hammer, and put in a
Euro-style "square-pin" one.  Then, any ole' 25-cent computer cord will
fit!  

If you don't have any of the replacement jack/plugs, radioshack.com has
two versions: ear-mount #910-3422, and snap-in #910-4725, either for 79
cents plus shipping (which is the bugger!)

If you don't have any junk computers, etc., to rob, send me your address
and I'll send you a good used jack/plug for the cost of shipping - cord
