[Test-Equipment] HP equip questions (141T...)

Hi Marv:

Let me see if I have this correct:

The 141T's AUX-A terminator (with 50-ohms on each of A2, A4 & A6) is
normally installed when no TG is connected. Is this is for any combination
of RF or IF plugins?

The terminators are not easy to find, so I was thinking of just making one.
It looks like smt chip resistors can be soldered onto the connector easily
enough, and should have decent freq response. How accurate do those
resistors need to be? Two 100-ohm 1% chips in parallel be ok?

When I use the 110MHz 8553B RF plugin, I can remove the AUX-A terminator,
and connect the six-coax cable to the 8443A 110MHz TG/counter. As I
understand it, this TG does not work with other RF plugins -- but can it
just stay connected to provide the AUX-A termination? If so, should it be
off or on?

What about the AUX-B connector? Is there any termination needed on it?
What is the AUX-B used for?

that's a lot of questions -- thanks in advance,

gil
