[Test-Equipment] Looking for a HP 106B Quartz Frequency Standard manual

Hi All,

I stumbled across this OCXO today, it appears to be a 1965 HP frequency
standard.
The type number is 106B, it has a 5 MHz double oven xtal oscillator,
internal battery
backup, 1 MHz and 100 kHz dividers, and I guess the specs compare to the 105B.

That 105B was a long running model, but this 106B seems to have been
short-lived.
Can't find any reference in my stack of HP manuals, nor on the web.

After removing the stiff NiCad it fired up OK, apart from no output from
the dividers.
They have a "start" connection and putting +7v on it brought the /5>1 MHz
alive.
The 100 kHz didn't respond to this trigger. The internal PS has +18 and +7
volt rails.

The oven itself looks like a miniature H-bomb and has an external fine-tune
input.
The operating temp is 59.1 centigrade, that may indicate a different cut
from later
hi-stab xtals.
But with the aid of 1 pps GPS it would look promising, at least this xtal
has been through
some ageing already....

I am hoping someone out here has access to a user/service manual and can
help me out.
Of course I'll be glad to pay costs involved and a good photocopy will do.
There seems to have been a 106A too, any help towards cal and service
directions is welcome.

TIA for taking the trouble,

Regards, Hans Agema
