The Orion has a bandscope? Who knew?

Well that just about sums up my feelings but then I've always listened 
to the radio with my ears. Okay, only kidding, partially. It's not good 
though, I never use it, mine does weird things every once in a while 
anyway. A dongle fed through a buffer amp to HDSDR is far more bandscope 
for little outlay.

Gets me thinking though that with all the horsepower available these 
days on experimenter type boards together with DSP add ons and small 
high resolution displays it probably wouldn't be a big stretch for 
someone to re-engineer that whole Orion processor and display module. 
Make it open source and you could really take it to another level.
