In the last month I have had two rotary/shaft encoders MULTI and PBT freeze.  These encoders are all the same and can be replaced with Mouser 652-PEC11L-4225F-S0015 @ $1.93 each - TenTec cost $12.00 each and $140/Hr to install.  Do not order the 4220F as the shaft is 3/16 inch to short and knob will not attach.  The encoders (3) are on a 1 x 4 inch PCB and requires the front panel to be swung out and plugs removed from PCB.  Use Soder-wick #3 80-3-10 and low heat to remove the defective encoders from PCB.
