Sounds like a way to make the most money..


BUT, who would want to buy a omni 6 without filters?
If I was going to buy it, I would want it ready to go with all the filters and the the power supply at a fair price.


but yes, on ebay, if you break it all down you may get more total, or would you?


or would you like to see another ham get it and use it and appreciate it?

Brian,  I would ask TT what they would charge to fix the ALC.. I have seen that 
problem before too and it's not too bad to fix if you are so inclined.
Typically, I see an O6+ decked out bring $800 - $1200 depending on quality, 
yes/no on cig smoke and cosmetics.  You may be better off pulling the filters 
and selling the separately on epay @$50 each and get about $800 - $900 for the 
O6+.. The 960 supplies bring $100 - $150 usually..

Hi - I need your opinions please, folks:

I have a Ten-tec OMNI VI Plus with power supply, desk mic, extra filters, manual 

etc.
that I am considering selling.

It is in great shape cosmetically and has a minior issue with the ALC cutting 
back or jumping 
around the power level as you adjust the PWR control. Everything else works 
perfectly. 
Gary at TT seems to think it's probably just a bad ALC diode or something. 

Would it be better to sell this as is or have it repaired first by Tentec before 

selling it?

How much do you think it should bring?
