Steve:
Strange. I wonder if Ten Tec started adding this as the internal cells
started to fail? I can't find anything on the internet showing this mod.
The manual specifically states the cell is within the chip and not outboard.
I plan to call Ten tec tomorrow and find out what they know about all this.
It would be interesting to find out from other owners what is in their
radio. Do you know the history of your radio, Steve, to know when that
battery clip was installed within your radio? (When built or sometime there
after).
Lee, w0vt
