[TenTec] Corsair Output Drops Unexpectedly

Hi, Keith here in Amherst, NY

I have a long-term loaner here, a Corsair from the estate of an old 
friend, now departed.  I have a small problem and wonder if anyone has 
seen it before...

While operating on CW I'll have the power abruptly drop to, or near to 
zero.  Wiggling the DRIVE pot brings it back, but if I'm not watching 
the output and catch this right away I tend to lose the QSO.

I am thinking that maybe the pot has a 'dead' spot as the operation of 
the DRIVE is smooth and no 'jumping' is noticeable.

Any ideas out there?
