Hi folks,
I bought my Onni-V used about 10-11 yrs ago, I think the owner was
upgrading to a VI. I had forgotten, in my usual way, with relatively
little use lately other than 2 SSB sked/wk, that it was full of filters.
In a package deal recently with some other stuff I got 500cy, 1.8kc
filters, and an FM board, without docs.
I do have docs on the filters, but other than the 250 & 500cy filters
are 6 pole vs 8 pole on all others, how do you ID each filter, and whether
they're 6.3mc or 9mc? They all use the same PC board, and there's no
marking other than the board no.
Some of the xtals' marking is unreadable, so it's hard to tell if
they're 6.3 or 9mc, exc. the 9mc filters in the rig do have an addtional
small disc cer. across input to gnd, and output to gnd, so I guess that's
the dif. betw. 6.3 & 9.
I suspect I have the 6.3 500cy 6-pole & 1.8kc 8-pole filters.
I have no docs on the FM board, but do have the cables and fasteners.
Could try to install it by guess, but does anyone have those sheets &
could scan them for me? I don't know if I'll use it much, but will give
it a try. I hear there really is some FM activity on 10m high end.
Since I won't be needing the filters, they are available, would really
like to trade one for a Triton IV CW filter board, which is an audio
filter. Just got an old Triton IV on the air to relive the fun I had with
the one I bought new in abt 1976. It's still a neat rig, but needs the CW
filter, like the one I had b4. I got DXCC with it, largely on CW.
thanks for any help,
