[TenTec] Jupiter

I'm new to the list and to Ten-Tec and just bought my first one, a used
Jupiter. I intend to use it as such and in the "Pegasus mode" (I was
originally looking for the less expensive Pegasus). Which ones of the
various software programs are recommended and why. I have looked on e-ham
at the "Callsign" and "N4PY" programs, but would like additional input.
Are there also downloads beyond what is available from RF2 ? 

A friend of mine just picked up a Flex-Radio which is also very
interesting but the RF Amp is not yet available. I don't know how the
specs stack up and that's probably fluid depending on the rate of SW
development.
