[TenTec] Orion Ad in June CQ

I only can get it to do a left to right sweep and not show the whole area at
once. Thus you are not really seeing the whole area scanned at the same time
like you do on the receiver. The receiver shows the whole area at the same
time so you can see all the signals in that sweep range. The software does
not. Real time is when everything in the sweep range is shown at the same
time. Thats all signals at once. Thanks for any help. 73's Steve

Steve, I'm not sure what you mean by "real time" in this context, but I
have had no problems with it. I usually use a RANGE of 30 KHz and the
CENTER FREQUENCY is set to TRACK RECEIVER. The FORMAT is LOG; the STYLE
is SOLID; and the MODE(?) is CONTINUOUS. For instance, on 20M CW, I
would put my VFO A at 14015 and the sweep extends from 14000 to 14030.
Once the sweep has begun, you can move VFO A anywhere, but the sweep
will continue between 14000-14030. BTW, the sweep is actually carried
out by VFO B on the sub receiver. One warning: Turn the SWEEP off
before transmitting.
It's particularly useful on quiet bands like 30M. If a signal shows up,
I can single click on it to move my VFO there, and only minor VFO
adjustment is required to center the signal in the passband.
Let me know how you make out.
