[TenTec] New Orion

I will look into this as it sounds cool. I am very happy with my MP, its
just not an Orion. I paid almost as much for the MP in Dec 95 with the
filters as I did the Orion. I really like my Corsair even after 17 years.
Ten Tec really makes some nice gear. My TS2000 is also a great multi
purpose rig that does a lot of things well. If I had to have just one rig
that would most likely be it. Thanks for the info. 73' Steve

Just to make sure we are on the same page - do you have the Inrad 70 mhz IF
amp, better known as the front-end mod, or do you have the very new 4 khz, 6
pole first IF roofing filter? I was one of the first to order the roofing
filter mod, and just got it the other day. This filter goes after the stock
12 khz ceramic filter, or, for those like me who had the Inrad front-end mod
(IF amp), this replaces that mod. However, this does have an on-board amp
as well. George is also coming out with a first IF roofing filter for the
Omni 6. It is not switchable, or selectable like the Orion. Tom W6EIJ
