[TenTec] question to all about roofing filters

All....  I own an Orion and for grins decided to put in the three optional roofing filters.  When I opened up the radio, I was quite surprised to see that the 2.4 Khz roofing filter is a 4 pole filter!  The 1.8, 1.0, and 500cy filters are all 8 pole filters.  The 250 hz is a 6 pole filter.    It bothers me that the 2.4 khz filter is only 4 poles since it is the one used mostly on ssb.   Any thoughts out there?
