[TenTec] Corsair lightening crash mod

Has anyone tried the PA0FRI lightening crash mod?  If I read the post 
correctly, it puts three components in parallel with R79 on the 80984 board -- a 
470pf, and two 1N4148 in anti-parallel.  

I hope this makes the AGC a little less dazed by lightening crashes.

BTW.  I'm having a blast with this Corsair I just picked up.  I've done some 
of the N1EU audio mods and am getting great audio reports.    I put in the 2.8 
kHz  INRAD filter.  I haven't yet moved the IF oscillator up 200 Hz as he 
suggests.
