[TenTec] Corsair I vs II

Well, I hapily used a Corsair I for many years and found it a very fine
radio, if equiped with the filters for the mode(s) you use. There may be
other subtle differences besides the paint, but the only one I'm aware of is
that the II has a built in keyer, while the I doesn't.
The only reason I got rid of mine, in favor of a Paragon, was that I
couldn't track down the remote VFO. I had found the +/- 3 kHz RIT limiting
for many DX split operations.
BTW, I am very happy with the Paragon. It not only solves that problem with
its dual VFOs, but also has a general coverage and AM receiver that's very
nice.
If I had found a VFO for split operation, I would likely be still using my
old Corsair!
