[TenTec] DXbase and the TenTec Orion

Dave,

I also have been using DXBase for about the same period of time as you.   I
received my Orion last month and I called Jack about support.  He went off
on one of "tarntrums" and ramped and raved about how there is no
compatability with the rigs from the same manufacture.

He "calmed down" alittle and said he would look into it.   I went so far as
to direct him to the Ten Tec web sight that has the techincal information on
computer control.   He did email me back with a bunch of questions; of which
I knew the answer to only a few.    I fowarded the email to Ten Tec and
emailed Jack the email address of Ten Tec support.

That was about a month ago and I have not seen anything yet.   Why don't you
call Jack and "shit in his in basket" also.  If enough "foul odor"
accumulates, maybe he will take the time to update DXBase.

I think the bottom line is there has to be enough Orions out there that it
makes it worth his while to take the time and develop the interface.

I asked the same question you did on the reflector and I received a couple
responses that indicated that DX4WIN was working on an upgrade for their
software and that win-eqf does work with the Orion now.
