That's true...

But for years Yaesu/Kenwood has change the commands for the basic stuff
needed for logging programs continuously...

It's much easier to program for Icom, because it basically stays the
same... They just add stuff as time goes by.

But the commands to read/write frequency/mode have been unchanged for
nearly 20 years.... And that and a command manipulate split and perhaps
VFOs are just about all you need for a logging program...
