Andrew, I'm a TT kind of guy, but I've built and owned
three K2s, 2 w/100watt option, the auto tuner, and a
fully dressed K1. I sold all the K2s and the K1 w/except
of one K2/100 w/autotuner. I may sell it only to justify
building another. Component quality, service, support,
design and performance from Elecraft is a SOLID 10
on a 1-10 scale. On SSB it lacks some of the features
you might expect on a modern radio but CW performance
is second to none. Plus you get to build it. (just remember
to properly strip and tin the toroid leads!) Lots of TT
owners have at least one K2 and vice versa.  You are
not committing heresy by wanting a K2!
