Hello Allen:
     Understand where Ten-Tec came from on the 516 design.  However, I sure
would like to see them exchange the squelch knob for a RF Gain control and
put the squelch behind the Atten. button.  I have to use the 20 db Atten.
position most of the time due to high back ground noise. Or, how about
allowing us to very the Atten. setting in 1 db increments?  Also, someway to
vary the lighting to off.  Would save a bunch of mills when on Batt.
operation.  Just a matter of software, isn't it?
     With that said, I'm sorry to inform you that I'm keeping the rig.  I
need a little more time for attitude adjustment.
