Hi John,

I have 2 Omni 6 + transceivers here and have not seen that problem. I would
suspect a bulb at the end of it's life or a possible poor ground connection. If
you are going to pop the cover to check it out; it might be a good time to
swap the bulbs. As I recall there are two bulbs, one on each side of the S
meter. They are easy to get to and you should be in and out in minutes.
Of course, if both bulbs seem to be flashing, the problem would either be
ground or DC connection that is causing your flashing.

The Omni 6 is a fantastic rig and I understand that ten Tec sold thousands
over the years. I know the Orion has better specifications and I may purchase
one later but I am VERY happy with my O6's, especially after doing the Inrad
audio mods and shielding the microprocessor compartment. See mine and other O6
Mods at this URL. These are well worth the effort and really improve an already
outstanding rig.
