I would like to key my Paragon I in AM mode. I'm using it as the RF driver
for a homebrew transmitter and must switch to CW to key it then back to AM to
listen to the other old buzzards.
It looked like adding a diode on the control board would do it -- from the AM
pin of socket 59 over to Q1 just like the ones for FM, USB. LSB and CW. But
that's before I realized that would just forward the request to the
microprocessor via socket 66. The microprocessor will hear nothing of it, apparently.
Gosh. Do you suppose the Giehl chip might be willing to listen to the
request?
Anyone have a different idea?
Anyone have a pointer to information on re-programming the uP?
Thanks,
Jon, K6JEK
