I've had the Pegasus since it came out, and with n4py software, it is better
than they claim! I also have a 706mk2g and the Peg is superior in receiving,
I have had an 1000mp which I no longer have and still have the Pegasus...not
only is it a great rig, it is FUN to operate....I can not answer your second
