I don't see why the Argosy won't work. I have used my Triton VI (analog)
on ocassion. It works. It's a bit more difficult to tune than say my K2
or Omni-VI, and it drifts a bit more. Of course it doesn't have ANY bells
or whistles, PBT is the least of them. On the Argosy, be careful you don't
use too much power and over heat the finals. I'm not really familar with
the Argosy, so I couldn't advise you on what to do, but the Omni-VI and
Triton -IV, while better than most, do have some problems if you overheat
the finals, and probably the Argosy will exhibit similar problems. I can
use both of the rigs at 30 watts (PEP) with no problems, but 40 watts is
pushing it on PSK31.
