[TenTec] Clear Speech Unit

Anyone wishing to drive a "Clear Speech" unit from a Pegasus will find =
the audio output insufficiant. To solve this problem, proceed as =
follows: obtain a Radio Shack output transformer, #273-1380. Remove the =
two leads from the internal speaker of the Pegasus, and connect those =
leads to the 8 ohm winding of the transformer. The output leads from the =
transformer (1000 ohms) go to the "spare" RCA jack on the back panel of =
the Pegasus.  Plug the audio input plug of the Clear Speech unit into =
this jack (adapter required). The power for the Clear Speech is obtained =
from the 13.5V jack on the back panel. Earphones or a small speaker work =
exceptionally well (much more audio) and the unit is a perfect =
replacement for the useless "noise remover" in the Pegasus.  Also, I =
finally have more than enough audio  with the chear speech unit switch =
on or off.....w2gcx+
