[TenTec] omni c mic

         Greetings to all,  Dad has a omni c with a very poorly performing
ev mic , to get it to work you have to bang it around a bit to convince it
to do so. I know that the 705 can be adapted but do not know how well it
matches up or if there are other suggestions which may work better or if
anyone has any ideas as to what is, or is not, a good fit. I would
appreciate all responses, (he doesn't have to listen to it so he is unaware
as to how bad he sounds....no wonder no one responds to his CQ'S )
