The notes I have (noted from Ham Radio Magazine, pp 38-50, Nov. 1986) say
to replace C12 on the if/af board 80785 with a 22-uF, 35 VDC tantalum
capacitor. This is supposed to make an agc attack time of 20 mS and
release of 2 S. The article states that is an "almost perfect compromise
for SSB and CW".
I have not tried this on my Argosy (yet), and of course do this at your
own risk...usual disclaimer.
