i sure love my Titan. have used it for years after purchasing it 
reconditioned from TenTec. it just loafs along, whether i'm running 1.5 kw 
output, or lower power.
i did have a friend a few year's back that managed to ruin his: seems he 
kept running way more than 1.5 kw out. i kept telling him, whenever he 
complained that his Titan just couldn't stand up to the 125 watts he was 
driving his with, that maybe he should reduce the power and try operating 
within the legal power limits of amateur radio as specified by the federal 
rules that govern our hobby.
he never did get it, and he ruined a true work-horse of an amplifier in the 
process. he's a silent key now (r.f. burn was the cause of death), but boy 
did he put out a big signal before he finally blew that thing. meanwhile, 
mine is still loafing along, without a problem in the world.
