You can work DXCC or "worked-all-whatever" with any of the rigs
mentioned, with or without an amplifier, with a decent antenna or a
fabulous antenna.   The difference in the various radios is that (1)
some operators enjoy the operation or features of one more than another
and (2) it may be easier to work them under poorer conditions with a
higher performance rig (or big antenna).

It is possible to build fine furniture with either hand tools, power
tools, or a combination of both.   It is a matter of preference, skill,
and perhaps the time one is willing to spend.   Suitable tools suffice
to get the job done.  Superior tools may make it easier or more fun, but
some will still prefer the simpler approach for esthetic reasons or for
the challenge it presents.
