[TenTec] Key clicks in receiver

Question:

I am hearing K4JA's key clicks very loud in my OMNI VI from 28.000 to 
28.010 MHz. He is broadcasting on 28.050 at full power from a 150-foot 
tower and stacked yagis for ARRL CW contest and is located 25 miles away 
from my QTH.

	Does he have a keying problem with his Yaesu FT 1000MP + Acom 2000-A amp, 
is the OMNI VI cracking under the strain of his signal, or is this normal 
and to be expected when your QTH is in the line of fire of a big gun?
