i received several emails asking me abt what i heard. this is it, as i 
understand it.
ok, yes, the word i heard tonight from several different sources (tnx ron 
and others) is that ten tec has a new top of line rig which will hit the 
market this year. among the features, as i understand it, are dual 
receivers (stereo), if dsp, and hf only (no 6m). the main receiver is ham 
band only, both analog and if dsp, with sub-receiver to be general 
coverage, if dsp.
ten tec is supposed to have a prototype at the charlotte (nc) hamfest, and 
will probably have it at dayton later this year.
early word from ten tec is receiver will exceed specs for the omni 6+.
they say they're still working on the front cabinet design, but it will 
resemble the Jupiter somewhat in that respect.
it sounds like this is what i have been waiting for, hoping ten tec would 
introduce a new top of line rig incorporating updated technology to go 
along with their famous craftsmanship. it looks like it's coming  soon.
