---------------------

Descriptions:

Cushcraft(?) beams and the mystery beam:

I have four of these, I think they are the older ones with the odd H
reflector. They are
recent take-downs and have been in the air at least 15 years. They were
set up Vertically
polarized.

beam one is intact except for a slightly bent element.

beam two has half of the fourth element broken.

beam three has the frist two elements broken in half and fourth and fifth
elements are broken in half. (counting from the front of the beam)

beam four has fourth and fifth elements broken in half and half of one of
the
H elements on the back of the beam.

Mystery 2m beam is 10 element and is missing the third element in front of
the driven element. Mystery antenna was also vertically polarized when
taken
down.

I have NO MANUALS on these antennas, you will have to borrow or get from
the web.

Prices: $35 for the good one and $20 each for the rest or $100 takes the
lot!

They are all assembled so if need to take them apart for safe transport
remember to
bring a roll of masking tape to mark the elements, some wd-40 and hand
tools and a
black marker :)

These are at my QTH here in the Rhome/Decatur area on hwy 287 and ready to
go!

------------------------------

6 meter beam:

This is a pretty big beam. 7 elements! I took this down off of a tower
and it was
vertically polarized. It is mostly in pretty good condition. The
matching network
needs tightening up a bit (no big deal) and you will probably want to
replace the U-bolts
that hold everything together on it. It probably wouldn't hurt to go
ahead and replace
the lock screws holding the elements together with stainless steel hose
clamps or the like
as well.

Some of the places that were clamped down with u-bolts were clamped down
overly hard and
have indented the boom. this has not harmed it though as it has also been
in the air over
15 years.

The beam also had support guys to keep the long boom from drooping /
bending and this was done
with what appeared to be 3 or 4 strand farmers wire that was broken up
with porcelain insulators
for resonance reasons. the insulators are included and I'll even let you
have the fun of cutting
them loose from the old wire!! (grin)

At the moment I have NO MANUAL for this beam.

I've mostly taken the beam apart EXCEPT for the elements, I've left them
together. I've marked
the pieces that go togther with letters/numbers with a black marker.

I'd like $100 for it.

This is at my QTH here in the Rhome/Decatur area on hwy 287 and ready to
go!

----------------------------

Rohn 45:

I have two sections of Rohn 45 that is in pretty nice condition.
I'm assuming they are rohn as the face is about 18" and the legs are 1-1/4"
and the cross bracing seems to be the right size.

These are both mid sections.

Here's the deal though. This stuff came off of a tilt-over tower and the
owner
had decided to weld a support rod the entire length of the tower off of
one leg.
So each of these sections has three short pieces of solid rod steel welded
top-middle-bottom
on one leg with a piece of solid rod holding those three together.

Anyway this means you will have to cut them off close to the tower leg and
then get a
spray can of cold galvanize spray from the hardware store and cover them
up.

I'd like $100 each for these.

These are at my QTH here in the Rhome/Decatur area on hwy 287 and ready to
go!

---------------------------

Mystery Tower!!

I have 3 sections of mystery tower! 10' sections and they were stacked
with the
Rohn tower that is listed above, so you will have to cut off and remove
the steel
rod as listed.

Since they were stacked with the Rohn 45 that tells you that it's a 3 leg
tower
and the legs are about 18" apart.

The tower pieces don't have solid rod legs but have H type ladder legs
that are
made of tubing. The stuff is in fairly decent shape but could use cleaned
up and
painted.

One section is the top piece and has a homebrew bearing plate on it that
is made of heavy steel, u-bolted to it. There is a rotator shelf as well
of the
same variety.

There is a mid section and a base section. the base section will have
some solid
rod welded inside the bottom secton but won't affect functionality. (the
solid rod
is welded to a hinge plate in addition to the legs being bolted in)

These three sections are not at my QTH currently but are in the north
Denton area
pretty close to i-35 north and hwy 380. I've yet to remove the last
section.
However if you want them before I get them back to the house I'll meet you
there
and we can have the last section removed and load up your trailer or truck
in about
an hour.

I'd like $45 total for the three pieces of mystery tower!

----------------------------

Pierce Winch:

This is appears to be a large worm drive winch and I think it has an 11"
spool on it.
I currently have the cable removed from it but cable comes with the winch.

This winch was used to raise and lower a 50' tilt over tower. I can't
find the control
so you will have to homebrew one or see about buying one from Pierce.
( http://www.piercewrecker.com/winch.htm ) The winch is probably 15 or 20
years old
and the 12v motor is either fried or frozen or the brushes need worked
on. Dunno.
Anyway I couldn't get the motor started.

The free-wheel lever is missing so you will have to replace it or homebrew
something.

I know, I know, your thinking "why do I want this project Mike?" and the
answer is because
Pierce winch is located in Henrietta, Texas so parts aren't too far away!

No manual, of course!

Anyway I only want $100 for the thing.

Yes, I WILL kick myself later for not fixing
it up and keeping it, but oh well :)

These are at my QTH here in the Rhome/Decatur area on hwy 287 and ready to
go!

-------------------------------

Moseley S-401 40 meter Rotatable Dipole

This dipole came off of my tower last year when I upgraded to something a
bit bigger.

This has a single center mounted loading coil. The thing is fully
assembled in the
back yard and other than cleaning / replacing some nuts and washers nd
buying a u-bolt
to mount it to your mast it is ready to go up. I have no clue what I did
with the u-bolt.

I HAVE the Manual for this! :)

I'd like $90 for this antenna.

This is at my QTH here in the Rhome/Decatur area on hwy 287 and ready to
go!

------------------------------

Mosley TA-33 Tri-band 10/15/20 meter beam. (3 element)

I took this beam off of a tower in south Texas last year. One side of the
driven element
had some screws that had rusted (ripped? who knows?) out and the element
had dropped to the
ground. None of the aluminum appears to be bent. You will have to call
Mosley and get
replacements for the screws and insulators that hold the driven element
away from the antenna
mount or homebrew something.

I believe I have all of the mounting hardware but can't be sure. As usual
you'll want to
replace u-bolts and other hardware at your discretion.

This is mostly taken apart and I have a small assembly MANUAL for it.

I'd like $50 for this antenna or $80 if you take this one and the Telrex
listed below!

This is at my QTH here in the Rhome/Decatur area on hwy 287 and ready to
go!

------------------------------

Telrex TB5EM/4kwp tri-band beam 10/15/20

This older antenna comes with some really nice assembly instructions /
blueprints.

The traps on the antenna all appear to be intact and undammaged.

This antenna was already taken apart and in a pile when I aquired it. It
appears
to have 2 broken elements, neither 'appear' to be related to the trapped
elements.
I am not sure if I am missing any element pieces or not. Big pile of
aluminum though!

I do have the balun box that came with it and other misc. mounting
hardware. This is
definately a project antenna for you to play with!

..and for only $40 is is yours! Or $80 if you take it and the TA-33
listed above! :)

These are at my QTH here in the Rhome/Decatur area on hwy 287 and ready to
go!
---------------------------------

30' pushup pole.

Steel pushup pole as you used to see at Lowes/Radio Shack, etc. Pretty
decent
condition.

$25.

----------------------------------

Mast Mounted beam spreader:

This is a custom built spreader that was used for mounting 2 meter beams
in phase on the tower.

The thing is Heavy Duty steel! It could use a washing and a quick coat of
fresh
paint but other than that it's good to go!

From the mount it is (about) 56" to one end, so about 112" from end to end.

I'd like $45 for it.

------------------------------------

tower leg mounted beam standoff (4ft?) for vhf/uhf:

This is a custom mount for round tower legs or possibly mast mount right
above the thrust bearing.

This mount is in pristine condition and probably never mounted.

There are dual sets of u-bolt holes, one set is 2-3/4" on CENTER and the
second
is 1-7/8" on CENTER. from mount to end is 5'.

I would like $35 for it.

-------------------------------------

Holy cow! I didn't know I had so much stuff laying around! :)

Anyway you can pick the stuff up here weekdays or weekends, just call to
schedule when. I've described the items the best that I can recall while
sitting
here behind the keyboard but be sure to look your items over REALLY WELL
so that
you know what your getting before you pay :)

I will be going to the Irving Hamfest tomorrow (saturday) so might be able
to
haul some of the smaller items with advanced notice. I'd prefer that the
larger
stuff was picked up here though. (hey I only have a little suzuki suv:)
