Subject: Possible RACES Activity

The State RACES Officer has requested that all County Liaison Units begin
monitoring on Monday August 7th weather activity related to the hurricane
which may enter the Gulf.

Evidently they are planning on activating the State RACES net if necessary,
and may need support from all RACES Districts.

Daytime HF nets normally operate on 7290, 7285, and 7248 when operational.

Night time HF nets normally operate on 3873 and 3935.

Please monitor weather information beginning Monday August 7th, and if you
are available, monitor the above frequencies to determine if nets are
activated.

If you have any questions, please contact me.
