N5WLA, NCTECH coming up need help.

WB5IDM, Mentioned that the Old National Samples building is going to be a
permanent Community Center for the City of Azle. Talked to the Pastor during
the Azle Chamber of Commerce monthly breakfast. Pastor said, worst case the
cost would be $100.00 if Air Conditioning or heating were used. I really
think he would let us have it for free as a service to the area. There is
around 20,000 square feet in the building with big roll up doors in the back
to facilitate driving in the building to unload. We talked about how we
could make it work for this year. Someone would have to be posted at the old
location to give directions to the new site. Very easy to get from old
location, go to the first bridge to left, turn left that puts you on Main
Street. From there you go straight through the light about 3/4 of a mile,
Church is on the right with a great place to park the trailer and a lot of
cars and tailgaters. Several Pros and Cons were talked about, nothing that
could not be overcome, the main thing being tables. Paul to talk to Pastor
tomorrow and find out if building is available and if they have tables
available.

KB5YLG, Talked about the NCTECH move on way from Dallas to Azle, agreed that
it is possible to move and accommodate our Ham customers and vendors. The
vendors will love this place. David also made the point that there are a lot
a restaurants in the area and that next year the Motel/Hotel will be open.
Also, maybe by next year the new park across the street from the Church will
be open and that could be used for Field Day.

What it comes down to is we need to talk about this at the Meeting Saturday
evening and decide if we want to do this move. To me there is a lot more Pro
than Cons and nothing that can't be overcome with good planning. Make notes
of all of the problems we may face and lets see if it will work.
