Program on DHS/FEMA Citizen Corps to be presented at Winter-Com on
January 17th in Arlington
Winter-Com is approaching fast and this year I (Roy Rabey) will be giving
a presentation on the great opportunities that exist for Amateur Radio with
the Citizen Corps. If you're interested to see how you or your club can get
involved with FEMA's massive volunteer and disaster response initiative,
this program is for you. Plus there are a number of other great programs
scheduled.
Once again Winter-Com will be hosted by the UTA College of Engineering
and the Arlington ARC will be handling the talk-in. Also, Winter-Com will be
the host of the winter meeting for the VHF-FM Society, our frequency
coordination body in Texas. So if you're interested in repeaters, Winter-Com
is a great Hamfest to attend.
You can get the details on Winter-Com at
www.wintercom.org.
