Subject: [TCARC-NTX] Meeting Minutes - Feb. '04
TCARC Meeting Minutes February 2004
Meeting called to order by Fred, N5WLA.
January meeting minutes was read by Chris N5GMJ.
Treasury report revealed a January balance of $2,423.57 and February
Balance of $2,966.65.
N5WLA reported on his Elecraft K-2 kit nearing completion. He also
reported on the estate sale of silent key, W5QCN, but neglected to read
the ARRL newsletter due to extremely small print
KB5YLG described a newly acquired PA system and offered it for club use.
Dews and membership details were discussed.
Announcements were made for:
NCTECH Meeting 21st of February
(2nd) Skywarn class 28th of February
Weatherford Hamfest 13th of March
HamCom 18th of June
LBJ Grassland Run 20th of March
Horse & Buggy event 20th of March
Test Session 7th of March
N0JY noted the conflict of schedule between the LBJ Grasslands Run and
the Horse & Buggy event and asserted that the Horse & Buggy event should
take priority due to the fact that we have worked that event several
years and we should continue to support this popular event.
An NCTECH discussion was originated by Tom and David reporting progress
made toward this year's effort including 490 flyers passed out at
Skywarn class of January 24th. Tom scheduled the next NCTECH meeting for
February 21st, 9 AM at Southern Bell Restaurant in Azle.
An "Official Roster" to facilitate sign up for special events was
suggested by KB5YLG. It was suggested that it be implemented via email
reflector. The issue was discussed and informally agreed upon by all
present.
Various emergency organizations were discussed and participation
considered.
Pass-the-hat netted $20 and dues of $48 were collected.
Motion to adjourn was made by N0JY and seconded by N5GMJ
