David,

    I used to work for and with another person in this area that has a Ham
license.  His name is Charles Sipes  N5FDR.  He lives in Boyd, or just
southwest of Boyd.  The last I heard about him, he had had a stroke (no word
on how it affected his mobility) and has been off work for a year or more.
Without looking or acting like a group of circling vultures, would it be
possible and ethical to find out what Ham equipment he has and might want to
dispose of?

    Of the items you listed, I would be interested in everything except the
radio.  I already have a 144/440 (2m/70cm) hand held.  The problem is a lack
of funding at present for station enhancements.
