I've been tinkering with scripts [Linux/Unix] and have come up with a
simple dipole calculator. If anyone's interested: dipole.sh
#!/bin/sh
echo "Hi there,"
echo "Shall I calculate the length of your dipole?"
echo "Enter the frequency, (in MHz):"
read X
echo "Okay, for a $X MHz transmitter or receiver,"
echo "your dipole should be $(dc -e "2 k 468 $X / p") feet long,"
echo "(Each leg should be $(dc -e "2 k 234 $X / p") feet)."
echo "Have a nice day and enjoy your dipole."
You'll have to
chown u+x dipole.sh
first, and then
./dipole.sh
to run.
