Subject: Amateur Radio Spectrum Protection Act - Your Help Is Needed!

Greetings Hams of North Texas,

ARRL President Jim Haynie, W5JBP, recently spoke at the Richardson
Wireless Klub meeting on a number of subjects. One of which was the
progress being made in Washington on the Spectrum Protection Act. You
can read about the progress on this web page:
http://www.arrl.org/news/stories/2003/11/10/100/?nc=1

It is important that we all take the time to write our Senators and
Representatives and ask for their support of these bills. The ARRL has
created sample letters that you can use as a starting point. The letters
you send will hold much more weight if they are in your own words. And
while you can e-mail letters to Congress, sending them via regular
postal mail also adds more weight. The ARRL has created the following
web page to assist you with your letter writing campaign:
http://www.arrl.org/govrelations/arspa.html. On this page you will find
sample letters that you and use as a starting point for you own request
for support along with information on how to send letters to the Senate
and House of Representatives.

I would like to encourage all the Hams of North Texas to get involved in
this very important issue and write Congress today. And if I can answer
any questions for you, please e-mail me at [email protected].

73,
Roy Rabey - AD5KZ
