[TCARC-NTX] Azle Lake Run Survey...why weren't you there?

Paul:

I think our club has enough people to take care of the Lake Run. I'm
not sure why more didn't volunteer to help. Why join the club if you
aren't going to do what the club does, and help out, and do great
things?

Of course, people work weekends, have vacations and stuff that might
conflict...but 75% of the club membership couldn't come? That's just
wrong. I hope folks join in more on actually helping the community, it
really does mean a lot.

I'm not against outsiders helping, don't get me wrong. I'm just FOR the
club using it's strengths (trained, ready people) to benefit more than
just each individual member...like the community for instance...and the
hobby. Maybe some of the club members who did not attend can chime in
and tell us how to get the word out better and so forth so they can join
in on these cool special operating services we do.

Survey questions...Why didn't you help out?:

1) Need more notice?
2) Need a wake up call on the day of the event?
3) Need more info on what we do at these events and how you can help?
4) Need more info on how much it means in the community?
5) Need more info on why ham radio needs to do volunteer service to
survive?
6) Religious conflict?
7) Work conflict?
8) Was helping at a different charity at the same time?
9) Was running in the 10k, and too out of breath to operate the radio?
10) Was there helping, didn't you notice?!?
