HamCom 2003
HamCom 2003/ARRL National Convention was a great success by all
measures.  I certainly enjoyed getting to chat with so many of my
friends from accross the division.  We had 200 plus new members sign up
at the ARRL booth.  We also added 5 new life members.  If you haven't
looked at life membership, I recommend you take a look at it.  It was
one of the the best investments that I ever made.

Broadband over Power Lines (BPL)
If you haven't taken this threat seriously, I recommend you do so.  This
is a real threat to the future of amateur radio!  Check it out at:

Joe Walsh
I enjoyed getting to visit with and having my picture taken with Joe. 
He is a real approachable guy.  I noted that he knew how to blend in at
a hamfest real well!  By the way, Bob Heil is looking for a photo from
his session on Saturday at HamCom. I know there was no "official"
photographer there, but plenty of folks were taking pictures. The one
Bob is looking for is one of him and Joe when he is wearing a red,white
& blue hat. If any of you took a picture of this please let me know at:

Telephone Scam
If someone calls you wanting you to renew your subscription to QST, it
is likely a scam artist.  The ARRL doesn't make phone call solicitations
for subscriptions.  Don't give them your credit card number under any
circumstances.  Check the arrl web site for more information.
